GIF ++ ISD / Safety Clearance

The Initial Safety Declaration (ISD) should be filled out before you move your setup inside the GIF++ facility.

ISD and Safety Clearance process:

1. Fill in the ISD form

• A proposed time for a safety inspection should be specified
• The IMPACT must be made before the ISD

2. Submit the ISD form

The following email addresses must be provided in order to notify the concerned persons:

• Setup Responsible email,
• Technical Coordinator email,
• Other emails.

3. After the submission of the ISD form

• You will be contacted by the EP Safety Office to confirm the date/time of the safety inspection

4. Safety Inspection

• Please ensure the installation is completed before the Safety Inspection

5. Safety Clearance

• After the on-site inspection, if no major remarks are present, the EP Safety Office delivers a formal Safety Clearance report via email.
• This report might also contain remarks and actions to be done before the start of the operation.
• In certain case, the EP Safety Office might decide to have a second inspection on site to check that all previous remarks have been solved.

To be noticed that any substantial modification to the set-up, implemented after the inspection, invalid the clearance and thus require a new ISD to be filled-in.
